DIMAPUR — The ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) observed its foundation day-cum-the 13th NJY memorial lecture on October 8 at its campus with the participation of faculty, staff and students of the university.
An update from the university stated that Darshana Sarma, assistant professor of Computer Science, chaired the programme, while Dr. Sumanta Mahapatra, assistant professor of Economics, gave a short speech on the significance of the event. He highlighted the excellence and achievements of the founder of the ICFAI group, Late NJ Yasaswy, and conveyed why his life is worth celebrating and remembered.
The resource person, Dr. VT Vasagan, assistant professor of Management Studies, spoke on “Learning from leaders to become a leader in the current competitive landscape.” He centred his topic on the concept of leadership and real life leaders who impacted the world though their commitment, learning, resilience and courage.
He further emphasised the need of each individual to engage in activities to build themselves up so that they could contribute positively to the society.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Kevizonuo Kuolie, associate dean.
