Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, with all the officers and staff of the Raj Bhavan secretariat and their families at Raj Bhavan in Kohima on March 21.
The Governor and the first lady took pictures and interacted with the staff and their family members, especially the children besides having breakfast with all those who attended the occasion. They also wished good health and happiness to the staff and their families, informed a statement issued by PRO to the Governor.
Also attended by the members of Vivela Club from Chandmari, Kohima, Acharya “prayed for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State.”
School Holi day
It was colour-galore at Euro International School in Dimapur on Thursday as the students and staff of the institution gathered to celebrate to commemorate the joyous festival of Holi.
The children played paper Holi and shared sweets on the occasion. They were also shown videos about Holi festival and its history, informed an update from the principal of Euro International School, Sandeep K Jain.

“The celebration of the cultural festivals within the school is mainly to encourage students to become good responsible citizens of tomorrow by trying to understand other cultures and their beliefs,” read the statement.
