ISRN convenes meeting in Jakhama to boost immunisation

DIMAPUR — The Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) convened a Block Task Force meeting at the SDO (civil) office in Jakhama with the goal of increasing leadership participation in routine immunisation efforts on February 13.

According to a DIPR report, Nockpai Konyak, SDO (civil), Jakhama, presided over the meeting and emphasised the critical importance of child immunisation and vaccination.

Communication Officer Rose delineated the project activities underway in Jakhama block and encouraged stakeholders to assist the project team in organising awareness and sensitization programmes on immunisation within their communities.

She also emphasised ISRN's collaboration with the state government in implementing the MOMENTUM Routine Immunisation Transformation and Equity (M-Rite) programme, funded by the United States Agency for International Development.

Dr. Medophretuo, Medical Officer at Community Health Centre Viswema, stressed the significance and benefits of vaccination and immunisation, and Zubemo Jami, CDPO Jakhama, shared insights into the immunisation initiatives, the report said.

Representatives from non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the Jakhama Village Council Chairman, and officials from various line departments attended the meeting.
