On careful consideration of all the pros and cons arising out of the agitation against 33 % reservation for women, it boils down to the fact that this movement is truly an eye-opener for the Nagas to understand the need to preserve the sovereign rights of the Nagas as enshrined in the Constitution of India under Article 371 A . It also creates opportunity for all to review and rectify past-lapses of the Govt. of Nagaland which for the reason the present imbroglio and breakdown of Law and order in the state.
In view of the above, the credit of the eye-opening achievement belongs to the movement leaders, particularly to those who sacrificed their precious life for the Nagas. Nevertheless, a word of caution may be necessary in order that the victory thus achieved must now be properly consolidated at this stage before taking any further steps. And as and when a person becomes a leader of any sections of Nagas, he/she must lead the Naga people into the right direction according to Law. And we should not allow anyone to take law into their own hand for any action. According to the Naga Customary Law, there are so many taboo which are not to do in the like of cursing of others, burning or cutting down of the human living house, spitting on the face of the others, stealing, telling lies, cheating, intentional killing etc.
In this context, therefore I humbly suggest that further down of Govt. offices may be lifted so that we may sit and review past-lapses of the Govt. of Nagaland and take corrective measure before it is too late.
