
Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Dimapur district unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) held its annual general meeting on August 9 chaired by its chairman and deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal in his office’s conference hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaiswal has lauded the voluntary service rendered by the club particularly in organising blood donation camps for the needy irrespective of religion, caste and creed. He advised the members to maintain a log book of the donors, an update from the unit stated.
On the ongoing construction of Red Cross complex within the DC’s office complex, he advised the members to raise the required funds through patron memberships. He further commended the managing committee members for their services towards the welfare of the masses.
Chandu Agarwal delivered the welcome address, while the honourary secretary, KK Paul, presented the activities report and honourary treasurer, Ashok Agarwal, presented the audit report.
The house has resolved to re-nominate Ajay Sethi as the managing committee member of the Nagaland state branch.
Kuldeep Jain offered sanitary items for the toilet at the Red Cross complex, while Chandu Agarwal agreed to bear the painting cost. State representative, Helena Yepthomi, advised the managing committee to have formal communications while reporting to the state branch.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by vice chairman, Ajay Sethi.
