
Chinese smartphone maker and Vivo's sub-brand, iQOO, on Wednesday launched its first Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 powered android device, the iQOO Z6 Lite, in India.
Aimed at the budget smartphone segment, the company claims that the new iQOO Z6 Lite is the world's first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC and starts at a starting price of only INR 13,999. The 6nm chipset has a maximum clock speed of 2GHz and it reportedly gives 18% faster CPU performance as compared to the older Snapdragon 400-series.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 reportedly offers better performance than the Snapdragon 680, however, the SoC is still relatively inferior in performance to the Snapdragon 695 which powers a lot of devices in the sub-20K segment.

The iQOO Z6 Lite comes with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with support for 120Hz high refresh rate and up to 240Hz sampling rate. In terms of optics, the device comes with a dual 50MP camera setup and there is also a an 8MP front camera for selfie duties.
The new iQOO Z6 Lite comes with a four-component cooling system for prolonged peak performance which might appeal to budget Indian gamers. The device also features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and an Ultra game mode with RAM booster functionality.


The iQOO Z6 Lite is available in two configurations — INR 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, and INR 15,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It also comes in two colour options: Stellar Green and Mystic Night.
Users can also avail of discounts of up to INR 2,500 through bank offers, which can further reduce the price of the new smartphone down to only INR 11,499. The iQOO Z6 Lite goes on sale on Wednesday, September 14 at 12:15 PM, on Amazon India and the iQOO India online store.
