DIMAPUR, MARCH 2
The Mongoloid Peoples Forum, a New Delhi based organization, has suggested the Government of India to establish a 'race commission' as a measure to address the rising cases of racial attacks on the North East people. The MPF said 'race commissions' exist in the United Kingdom and elsewhere to deal such racial related problems. The MPF then expressed its concern on the increasing cases of racial attack against the people from the North East region in the national capital. The attitude of the Delhi police personnel amounts to abetment of the crimes, the MPF said. "There is a visible sight of negative attitude towards the Northeast people who are generally blamed for defiling the pristine orthodox Hindu cultures and traditions by their open Mongoloid attitude," MPF added. Confronting or assaulting the people from the Northeast seems to be considered an act of valour by the local residents and even some orthodox Delhi police personnel, who generally sided the culprits rather than taking prompt action, it terms.
According to the Forum, the inability of the Central government to control the increasing incidents of racial attack on the northeast people is a reflection of the inner voice of the larger egoistic mainland people. "As the waves of hatred against North East people are already created in the public mindset, the capital city of Delhi can no longer be called a safe place for the ethnic mongoloid citizens of this country," it rues. "The pitiable socio-economic condition and virtual lack of leaders to intervene in times of need escalate the problems further. Bashing people from the North East is viewed as an act of supremacy over the mongoloid people and a display of their pride as more Indian than us," the MPF further stated.
Unless the Central government openly accepts the prevalence of racial discrimination in the country, no halfhearted effort or 'loli pop' type of solution can ever bring an end to this problem," it said.
"Constituting a similar statutory body like race commission' in the United Kingdom and many other countries in the world can be thought about if the government is really serious about it. However, as long as the government of India denied the prevalence of "Racial Discrimination" in the country, no layers of duplicity and hypocrisy will bring an end to this problem. If so many country in the world constitutes a 'race commission' to protect racially minor communities, why is India still maintaing double standard," the MPF suggested.
The MPF then appeals to all the fellow weak and helpless Mongoloid community in the country to avoid living with their own whims and fancies in the mainland for the sake of our own safety.
"Mainland people preserve and respect their religions, traditions and cultures, which most of us are not aware about it. When you work, eat, drink in public places, always keep your openness shut with outmost cautions. The law, the police and the leaders may not be in your favour every time," the MPF advised to the North East people.
