
Sr. Salomi Rongmei, the superior of Assisi campus, was the speaker for the day, an update stated.
She said the day is observed to commemorate the hard work, and dedication of labourers irrespective of their role and position and to appreciate and acknowledge their great contribution. She also stressed on the importance of self-respect, an update stated.

“If we carry out our job with respect then automatically people will respect us, give respect to others just as you respect yourself as we are all dependent on each other,” she said, according to the update.
The programme was compered by Vanbeni while Sr. Geeta Lakra the coordinator of Child Right Movement emphasized on the importance of the day. A total of 40 people attended the programme, it added.
