Centre’s Interlocutor for Indo-Naga peace talks, R N Ravi arrived on his maiden visit to the State capital on Wednesday afternoon.
On his arrival to Kohima by road from Dimapur airport, Ravi called on Governor P B Acharya at Raj Bhavan and also had a closed door interaction with the Naga Hoho at a hotel here, sources said, adding that he would be having another round of closed door meeting with other tribal organisations and civil societies of the State on Thursday morning.
Ravi would be leaving for Delhi on Friday after calling on Chief Minister TR Zeliang.
However, the most important schedule of his visit to the State capital is to attend one of the crucial debate sessions of the 26th general conference of the Naga Students’ Federation to be held on the topic “Government of India is serious to solve Naga political issue” at 2 pm at the Conference Hall in Khonoma.
Ravi is the special guest of the session, wherein he would also be delivering a speech. Besides, the huge number of students already attending the conference, a huge crowd of Naga people and also members of the civil societies are expected to attend the debate session to listen to the statement of the first ever Centre’s interlocutor to be addressing the Naga public on the over six decades old political issue.
