Mokokchung, Aug. 17 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, on Monday issued an order stating that there will total restriction of inter-state vehicular movement in the district from August 18 to the 25th.
However, there will be no restriction on intra-state movements, according to the notification.
The order stated that inter-state movement of vehicles will be permitted only in case of medical emergencies with due written permission from the district administration. Movement of commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods across Tzutapela and Watiyongpang gates will also continue as per the office order dated July 25.
Inter-state vehicular movement across Tzutapela and Watiyongpang gates will continue to be banned except for those vehicles with due approval from the Home department and with due written permission from district administration and those commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods.
The market will continue to open as per the order dated July 14, but the market opening timing has been relaxed from 7 am to 5 pm on market opening days.
The aforementioned guidelines were resolved during the meeting of the Mokokchung district task force for Covid-19 on August 17. The order further warned that any person or group acting in violation of the order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under 188 IPC.
