Inter-state returnees of Tuensang to undergo 7-day mandatory quarantine

Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): The chief medical officer (CMO) of Tuensang, Dr. Moatemjen, on Monday informed that all the inter-state returnees of Tuensang have to undergo mandatory seven-day quarantine at the institutional quarantine centre to be followed by 14 days home quarantine.

According to an update, the CMO informed this during an emergency meeting with executive members of wards and sectors of Tuensang town at his office conference hall. The meeting was called to discuss the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation in the district.

The members also discussed about the inter-district returnees to Tuensang who will be sent directly for home quarantine. In this regard, colony, ward and sectors have been asked to take precautionary measures and take responsibility of their respective areas and make necessary arrangement.

Dr. Moatemjen informed the house that out of 46 positive Covid-19 positive cases in the district, 45 have recovered and discharged; and currently only one active case.

He also mentioned that the team has been trying to identity a good building for Covid-19 care centre, so that the Covid hospital can be shifted to a separate building and district hospital can resume OPD as usual for patients.
