Inter-school football tourney begins at Medziphema

EMN DIMAPUR, AUGUST 17 The 3rd edition of the Inter School Football Tournament (running trophy) organized by the Medziphema Town Students’ Union (MTSU) began Saturday with Sebastian Zumvü, NPF General Secretary, and former OSD to Governor of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra, as the chief guest.In his inaugural address, Zumvu while stressing on the importance of sports in students life, urged them to take up sports as a career instead of always depending on government jobs. The Commandant of 37 Assam Rifles, EAC Medziphema and host of public leaders also attended the inaugural function. Altogether, 10 schools are participating in the tournament which is a running trophy. The opening match was played between SFS Hr Secondary School and Rivenburg School which ended in tie.
