The Inter Departmental Badminton tournament began at Phek on August 10 where Deputy Commissioner Phek graced the inaugural programme as the chief guest. In his speech, the DC appreciated the DSO Phek and Officers for organising the Inter District Badminton tournament. He also extended his happiness for the overwhelming response and expressed desire that Inter Departmental Badminton tournament in the district will carry on even in the future so that government servant in the district can have healthy platform to interact with one another. He suggested that officers club be formed at Phek district for better coordination of various departments in particular and the people of Phek district in general. The chief guest further appealed to all departments to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the organising committee of the tournament.
The function was chaired by SDO (C) Worren Hollohon Yepthomi while welcome address was delivered by DSO Phek Nyuvitho Nyuthe and invocation prayer was pronounced by Veruyoi Khesoh, Pastor Police Church Phek.
