Opening programme of the first Inter-Department football tournament under Changtongya sub-division was held on August 4, 2015 at Changtongya town Local Ground with Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest Patel wished Tsungremong greeting to all and expressed his appreciation and lauded the organisers of the tournament for their selfless effort to successfully conduct the tournament under his sub-division. He then appealed to all the participating team to play in a true sportsmanship spirit of the tournament and to set an example as a role model to the young generation and also as an inspiration to them. He said that there will be only one winner but at the end of tournament all will be winner. He encouraged all head of offices and staff to maintain cordial relationship amongst them through the tournament. He also declared the tournament open.A highlight of the programme includes welcome speech by ChumlamoHumtsoe, SDO (C) Changtongya cum Convener Inter-Departmental football tournament. A special number was presented by LimanenlaLongkumer, invocation was pronounced by Rev. Dr. NukluLongkumer, Pastor Tzumokkong Baptist Church. The final match will be played on 15th August 2015.
