Dimapur, October 17: The closing ceremony of the 14th edition of Inter-colony games and sports was held on Saturday at Phek with Deputy Commissioner Phek, Murohu Chotso as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Chotso said that games and sports are an essential part and parcel of our everyday life. He called upon the gathering to keep high moral values so that so we may be able to compete and excel in the field of sports. However, in order to keep pace with others, one needs to give their best efforts, avoid bad habits and bring a change in our mindset basing on our theme "Branded for Change", a DIPR report quoted Chotso as saying. During this six day-long tournament, Zion Colony defeated Hebron-I Colony in football final match by 2-0 and emerged as the champion for the fifth consecutive time. Whine in men’s volleyball final match, Hebron-II emerged as the champions after defeating Hebron-I. In women volleyball, Hebron-I defeated Hebron-II colony in the final match. While Jerico-I colony was awarded as the best-disciplined team in the tournament.
