NSACS launches the Integrated Health Campaign at Tizit Primary Health Centre to screen for HIV, TB, and hepatitis

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), in collaboration with the Mon district administration and District Health Society, Mon, launched the Integrated Health Campaign (IHC) at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Tizit under Mon district on October 30.
The campaign is implemented under the initiative of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, to strengthen early detection, diagnosis, and linkage to treatment for HIV and other major related diseases, according to an update.
Delivering a presentation on the campaign, Dr. MC Longai Phom, Joint Director and Nodal Officer, DISHA (NSACS), highlighted the importance of community-level screening to detect undiagnosed cases.
He stressed the need for people to voluntarily come forward for testing to enable early intervention, adding that individuals who test positive must be linked to confirmatory tests and appropriate treatment to ensure better health outcomes.

The campaign focuses on screening for HIV, syphilis, tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Individuals with reactive screening results will be referred for confirmatory testing and linked to care facilities under the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP), National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), and National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP).
The campaign will cover 40 villages and sites under the Tizit area through main and extended camps, along with selected sites in the Naginimora area, from October 30 to November 22.
The initiative aims to improve grassroots access to essential health screening in underserved areas while building community awareness, early diagnosis, timely referral, and treatment continuity.
