Institution offering job-oriented courses launched in Dimapur

Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): Advisor for Skill Development, Labour & Employment and CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi inaugurated the National Institute of Professional Studies (NIPS) at Walford colony in Dimapur on April 13.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Kinimi urged the youth of Nagaland to avail the training in skill development sector for self-reliance instead of depending on government jobs, informed a press release received here on Monday.

Director of skill development and entrepreneurship, Nagaland, C.Lotam Chang highlighted the ongoing central schemes in the state besides urging the educated unemployed youths to get trained in various soft skills by taking advantage of the free training opportunities.

NIPS will impart training with 100% job placement under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, government of India, in collaboration with Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, government of Nagaland.

The institute will provide free training to those interested to become makeup artist, retail sales associate and front office associate. Aspirants will also be imparted free basic computer training under digital literacy programme which comes into the course curriculum, and the minimum educational qualification required to take up the courses is Class X pass.
