Dimapur, Jan. 6 (EMN): Loans amounting to INR 39 lac. was sanctioned to ‘successful, active and vibrant’ Self Help Groups (SHGs) promoted by the North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) of the Ministry of Development of North East Region, supported by the World Bank.
This was informed by the authorities during a financial literacy-bank credit linkage for 39 Self Help Groups of the NERLP which aims to change household incomes of the rural poor in the district of Peren. The event was conducted on Sat. at Jalukie.
Reports about the progress of the NERLP in the district were also presented by District Project Manager Ruuvilie Kotsu. A discourse about financial literacy and its importance was given by Lead Bank Manager Biarab Kalita. Another discourse about the importance of credit and recovery was given by the manager of Jalukie SBI branch Phabesh Medhi.
