INR 10 lakh stolen from Canara Bank customer in Dimapur; CCTV shows suspect discreetly fleeing with cash bag.

DIMAPUR — An amount of INR 10 lakh belonging to a customer of Canara Bank was stolen in broad daylight at Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur, on Thursday around noon.
According to reports, the customer had brought the cash to deposit at the bank and was seated with the bag beside him when it went missing. CCTV footage showed the man waiting in the lounge with the bag placed on the floor by his side.
An unidentified person wearing a cap was seen seated behind him.
The footage revealed the suspect discreetly pulling the bag towards himself with his leg until it was within reach, before making off with it. The customer raised the alarm only after noticing the bag missing about a minute later.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no information on recovery of the stolen money or any arrest related to the incident.
