
Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): The principal chief conservator of forests and head of forest force (PCCF & HoFF), Dharmendra Prakash, has called upon the staff of Intangki National Park (INP) to be proactive, remain fit and healthy and stay away from intoxicating substances in order to give the best service, while he also encouraged them to complete mandatory professional training at the earliest to remove hassle on promotional avenues.
Dharmendra stated this during his visit to Intangki National Park (INP) on August 20. He inspected the facilities available at the protection camps from strong room to gymnasium and other basic amenities for the well being of the protection forces, stated an update from the Forest department. He also visited anti-poaching camps located inside the national park to oversee the monitoring and protection activities being carried out in the park.
In the post noon session, he interacted with staff and encouraged them to be proactive, remain fit and healthy and stay away from intoxicating substances in order to give their best service for the coming generation. He also encouraged the staff to complete mandatory professional training at the earliest to remove hassle on promotional avenues.
Report stated that several other issues ranging from uniform to ration allowance and also from separate protection force service rule to posting in other forest divisions etc. were discussed.
Meanwhile, T Aochuba, director of INP, has thanked the PCCF and HoFF for visiting the park. During the interaction, he briefed about management issues of the park and priorities to be taken up by the department for better management of the park.
He also briefed about the present staff strength, wildlife habitat management, alternative source of livelihood of the fringe communities to reduce dependency on forest and other exposure and exchange programme of the staff with other well managed parks of the country to improve protection and management practices of the park.
He concluded by calling upon the staff to render their best and dedicated effort in conservation and protection of the national park.
