[dropcap]I[/dropcap]NFUSE Band, one of the most popular and upcoming bands in Mokokchung district, conducted a one day guitar class to young children of Medical Fellowship under Mokokchung Town Ao Baptist Arogo (MTBA) here today.
The main idea behind the guitar class is to encourage the young children to love music and to learn the basics of guitar by way of getting introduced to the wonderful music. Around twenty young children from the child department of the fellowship attended the guitar class with full enthusiasm.
The children were divided into groups, depending on their knowledge on the basics of guitar. Some of those who never played the guitar were given special lessons inorder to have a better understanding towards the whole sound and melody of strumming the guitar strings. The younger ones were taught the basic guitar keys, while those who were more proficient were taught how to tune their guitars and basic classical notes.
The main vocalist of the band, Imtisanen, while expressing that the band members started their foray into music while performing in the churches, encouraged the young children to take the opportunity to learn now, so that they would become more proficient in the days to come.
Onen , Chairman of Medical Youth Fellowship (MTBA), while appreciating the Infuse Band for the noble initiative encouraged the children to learn whatever is being taught and to keep on practicing so that they can become professional in playing the guitar.
The friends of the Infuse Band members, also fellow guitarists –Sentizulu of Tubescreeeamer and Lanuakum of Heralders - and Naga Orpheus Hunt 2013 finalist Alemkaba Jamir volunteered their help in conducting the guitar class.
It may be noted that the Infuse Band was formed in the year 2012 by a group of young musicians in Mokokchung town. The band has already notched a name for itself in many contests. The band will be organizing a big concert on December 13, 2014 at Town Hall which is being eagerly anticipated by the music lovers and fans of the town.
