Infrastructure, educational initiatives discussed at Kiphire DPDB meeting

- DIMAPUR — The
monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Kiphire was
held at the DC conference hall, Kiphire, on Wednesday under the chairmanship of
Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer.
- Discussing the agendas of the day, the board recommended the
proposal for the soiling and metalling of the road from Kipungya at Ward 9,
NH-202, to SP Residence.
- The proposal for the construction of the EAC office at
Amahator Town has been deferred to the next meeting, with EAC Amahator
entrusted to prepare detailed documents, stated a DIPR report.
- Deliberating on the Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyan, which
aimed at promoting students' learning, the DC urged all heads of offices to
visit primary schools, interact with teachers and students, and gather their
feedback.
- The Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyan is a school adoption
programme initiated the previous year for the welfare of students. Regarding
the SHe Box portal, where all the district heads have been added, it was
informed that all concerned should ensure the portal is operative.
- The members also deliberated on improper vehicle parking on
the route towards Zisaji Presidency College, where the board decided to
relocate the parking area to facilitate smoother transportation.
- The heads of departments (HoDs) were informed to collect
their respective government office site permits from the office of the DC
Kiphire. Regarding the proposal submitted by the Officers Club Kiphire to
conduct a sports event in the district, the members decided to hold it in the
second week of March.
