
DIMAPUR— As part of its state-wide sensitisation drive phase-II on Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, the department of Industries and Commerce, conducted seminar and workshop in five districts covering 10 blocks comprising Dimapur town, Chümoukedima, Niuland, Kuhuboto, Peren town, Jalukie and Tening village on June 16 and Kohima town, Kohima village and Chiephobozou on June 23.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]An update from food technologist and nodal officer of Industries and Commerce, Mhasiphizo Khezhie, stated that the programme was aimed at encouraging potential entrepreneurs and groups to avail assistance under the scheme to upgrade their existing units and also set up new micro food processing enterprises. He added that the sensitisation drive was organised with the support of RD-NSRLM, NULM-SUDA, NEIDA and DIC.
Khezhie further stated that various prospective individual entrepreneurs and groups such as SHG, FPO, FPC and co-operative societies from the concerned district/ blocks took part in the programme.
