Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): The advisor for Industries and Commerce, Imnatiba called on the secretary of the department of Industrial Policy & Promotion of Commerce and Industry Ramesh Abhishek, besides secretary of the ministry of Textiles Anant Kumar Singh, during the Naga legislator’s maiden visit to New Delhi.
A press release on Saturday informed that apart from various matters discussed during the meet, the advisor raised issues about inclusion of road transport in the transport subsidy provisions recently notified by the central government as part of the new North East Industrial Development Scheme.
Imnatiba also informed the secretary of Textiles about issues concerning pending projects with the ministry of Textiles. In response, the secretary is stated to have assured to look into the matter. A visit of the central leaders to the state was proposed during the event, to ‘take stock of problems faced by artisans, craftsman, and weavers of the state,’ it was informed.
The advisor also visited the state’s emporium located in the city and interacted with the officers and staff there. He observed that the emporium was not only a venue to market ‘Make in Nagaland’ products but also serves as the economic face of the state. He urged the officers and staff of the boutique to be dedicated in their work.
