- DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF)
has appealed to the Nagaland government to put mechanisms in place for the safe
return of Naga people stranded in the Indo-Pakistan conflict zones.
- In a letter addressed to the chief secretary on Saturday,
the NSF expressed concern that the simmering tensions between Indian and
Pakistan have adversely affected Naga students and working professionals
residing in other states, and thrown their lives into disarray.
- Besides, the closure of airports has only exacerbated the
issue, the federation stated.

- “These affected individuals have been reaching out to the
office of NSF to work out means in order to secure their safe return to the
state,” it stated.
- The federation urged the chief secretary to set up
mechanisms which will ensure the safety of these citizens, and also to take up
measures for their swift return to the state.
- “A swift and affirmative action towards this end will be
highly appreciated,” it added.
