Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): The political affairs committee (PAC) of the government of Nagaland has called for a meeting of all tribe hohos on May 11 ‘to discuss and deliberate’ matters concerning the Naga political issue and the ongoing Indo-Naga talks.
A press release from the PAC on Monday informed that this was decided during a meeting of the committee at the residential office of the chief minister at Kohima on April 30. No further details concerning the meeting were given.
The committee has also appealed ‘to the abductors of Tularam and Kudal, who were picked up on April 22 from Tuensang district to immediately release the innocent persons’. “While the state's machineries are making all possible efforts to ensure safe return of the persons, the political affairs committee issues this appeal on humanitarian ground so as to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the state.”
