Dimapur, Jan. 4 (EMN): Nagaland is expected to experience dense fog over the next two days (January 5 and 6), said an update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.
The IMD stated that dense fog is likely at isolated pockets in Bihar over the next five days; next two days over Nagaland, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; and over the next 24 hours in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Jharkhand.
It further forecast that cold to severe cold weather condition is very likely in isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh over next five days during the day time; in isolated pockets over Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana over next two-three days; and cold day conditions in isolated pockets over Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the next two days.
It went on to state that ground frost conditions is likely in isolated pockets over north Rajasthan in the next two days.
Meanwhile, the weather department said that western Himalayan region is likely experience isolated and scattered rainfall or snowfall from January 7 due to the influence of fresh western disturbance.
