Diphu, July 20 (EMN): The Manja Local Sand and Stone Suppliers’ Association has called for an indefinite strike on sand supply to Nagaland from July 21.

Announcing the strike at a press conference in Manja, Assam on Monday, the association’s secretary, Advin Teron, said that the reason behind the strike was the ‘low rate’ at which sand merchants from Nagaland purchase the material.

‘Until and unless the rate is increased, we will not lift our indefinite strike,’ said Teron.
