Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): With an aim to accelerate and promote entrepreneurship in Nagaland, the department of Industries and Commerce recently signed MoUs with YouthNet, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and Nagaland Tool-Room and Training Centre (NTTC) to run incubation centres in their respective organisations.

Under the Nagaland Start-up Policy 2019, those incubators would create enabling environment for start-ups to grow by ensuring knowledge exchange, capacity building, extend mentorship, network and linkages, policy interventions and access to funding in the domains of technology, agri and allied, mechanical innovations, social start ups, business start ups, and more, an update from YouthNet stated.

It mentioned that the department of Industries and Commerce has been appointed as the nodal department for implementation of Nagaland Start up Policy 2019.

It further added that the incubators would offer incubation space, infrastructure, tools and equipment, services, outreach initiatives, training programmes and other incubation related events, building an entrepreneurship ecosystem for startups.
