DIMAPUR, AUGUST 5
The Naga National Council (NNC) has said that the talks of inclusiveness or dialogue “with all the Naga national political groups and stakeholders” by New Delhi, as repeatedly stated by the central interlocutor, RN Ravi, “has gone in vain.” “This is very unfortunate and unpleasant politically on the part of the government of India to cheat and lied (sic) to the majority of Naga National Groups and people who are left behind and neglected. And this is very wrong on the part of present government of India,” it stated in a press statement.
The NNC then reiterated that “only one group cannot represent the whole and majority of the Naga national political groups and the people of Nagaland who stood for Naga national unity for political settlement in the interest of all concerned.”
The group has also reminded that the government of India cannot be trusted “in this serious matter as they always apply divide and rule policy to destroy” the Nagas.
“This is very unfortunate and unacceptable without all the stakeholders,” the group said.
