DIMAPUR — The 1st Asteri Table Tennis Championship was held from June 13 to 14 at the Indoor TT Stadium in Kohima. The tournament was organised by the Asteri Table Tennis Circle under the aegis of the Kohima District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA).

The championship featured a Team Event with 10 teams, each consisting of five players. Teams were formed through a lottery-based system, ensuring a balanced mix of players across Tier 1 to Tier 4, alongside a designated team captain, according to an update.

The UTT format—used in India’s top-level table tennis league—was adopted for all team matches. In the Open Doubles, 18 pairs competed in a knockout contest, while the 50+ Doubles saw participation from five experienced pairs.
