Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has appealed the Nagaland legislators, “in the name of God”, to exhibit what it stated was the latter group’s ‘political maturity’ by returning to the reasoning table and tackle the differences in an honourable and amicable manner.
The NBCC issued a press release stating that it was deeply concerned at the present imbroglio in the state which has brought about political infightings and instability affecting the governance system in the state. “At such a challenging time, when the state is going through severe weather monsoon, the Council call upon the legislators to graciously heed to the welfare and grievances of the public and work towards remedial measures from the present crisis.
“Certainly there are more serious matter to attain to than engaging in self defeating and demeaning newspaper wars, attack and counter attack and calling names in the print media. Internal differences leading to establishing groups and camps within and without the state with outside interference will only complicate the situation”, it stated.
