Imphal Riding Club, Lamphel, emerged as champions of the 3rd edition of Chittamohini State Women's Polo tournament by defeating Assam Rifles

IMPHAL — Imphal Riding Club, Lamphel, emerged as champions of the 3rd edition of Chittamohini State Women's Polo tournament by defeating Assam Rifles 7-6 goals in the final match played at Mapal Kangjeibung, the oldest living polo ground in the world, in Imphal on Monday.
Imphal Riding Club, Lamphel, received cash prize of INR 30,000 along with winning trophy and gift hampers while the runner-up team Assam Rifles women's polo team won INR 20,000 along with trophy and gift hampers.
M Priya of Imphal Riding Club was awarded the highest scorer prize after the day’s final match.

The cash prizes and winning trophies were handed over by Padmashri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee N Kunjarani Devi and Lt. Col. L Manongba (Retd.).
In their semi-final matches, Assam Rifles beat Ibudhou Pakhangba Polo Club, Iroishemba, by 8-2 margin, while Imphal Riding Club trounced Manipur Police Sports Club 23-2. It may be mentioned that the tournament commenced from March 28.
