Dimapur, Oct.1 (EMN): The advisor for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba praised the government of India’s ‘Look East Policy’ citing visible infrastructural and road development in the Northeast, during the state skill development minister conclave on September 30 at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi.
This was informed Nagaland House New Delhi through a press release on Monday.
Imnatiba stated that the “biggest challenge ahead of us is when vision is fully realised, we will be attracting lots of investors to set up factories and industries, but the question remains whether we will have enough skilled man power to meet the pace of the industrial development in the near future?”
He said the initiatives of the skill ministry has “created a consciousness of skilling in the entire nation especially in north east,” and added that we would not only serve as a corridor for east Asian countries but also “promote entrepreneurs to contribute our produces & product in that ASEAN highway”, it read.
He further requested the union minister of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to upgrade and modernise the existing ITIs in Nagaland in order to help prepare the state to accommodate the new industrial sectors in north east “with the present existing as well as renewed flagship programmes of MSDE”, it stated. He also added that the skill ministry can help meet the challenges and contribute “to our decades of unsolved problems” with regards to the Indo-Naga political issue, the statement read.
