Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): The Land Owners’ Union (LOU), Doyang Hydro Electric Project Wokha, Nagaland held a co-ordination meeting with all the 17 affected villages from May 18 to June 1. The meeting started at Pangti village and culminated in Arre Old and New, informed an update from LOU DHEP.
The LOU DHEP team led by its president Rhanbemo Odyuo held thorough discussion and collected the grievances during the visit to the affected villages. It also met the officials of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) in Shillong and had a marathon meeting with its CMD and top officials.
The highlights of the meeting include Group C&D employment, infrastructure development, roads, healthcare, upgrade of VKV school, 12 percent royalty and CSR scheme among other things, informed LOU DHEP. The union also thanked NEEPCO CMD for his positive response and commitment.
