Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): Immanuel College has organised a felicitation programme for subject toppers, meritorious students and graduates on June 14 at the college auditorium where award with citation was presented to Kongtung Chingdang Phom, subject topper in zoology honours.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A Loso Chalai, chairman of governing body, has emphasised on the importance of embracing the fragmentation of the society with love, compassion and universal brotherhood. He also encouraged the students to share the acquired knowledge with the society and walk in the fear of God.
Shumbenthung Odyuo, assistant professor, speaking on behalf of the teaching faculty, has congratulated the students and encouraged them to always begin their life with obedience, discipline and hard work. He also reminded the students about the importance of their certificate which would determine their future.
Abeni Mozhui, assistant professor, also presented a congratulatory note. She has advised the students not to blemish the integrity with selfish desires and urged them to keep moving forward in whatever position a person has been put up.
Speeches on behalf of the students were presented by Kongtung Chingdang Phom and Ato Tzudir. They thanked the management for organising the programme. They have also thanked the lectures and parents for their help and guidance. They also dwelled on the importance of determination, hard work, discipline and the choice one makes.
Kaboto Kibami, college’s general secretary, has congratulated the seniors and also welcomed the new members into the college. He has urged the juniors to learn from the seniors and to take their examples as a source of inspiration.
