Dimapur, April 9 (EMN): The department of Botany in collaboration with IQAC, Immanuel College, Dimapur  conducted a one-day national seminar on "A Comprehensive Study on New Emergence and Exploration of Ethno botany in North-East India" under the sponsorship of Botanical Survey of India in the college conference hall on Friday.

An update informed that Dr. Tarun Kumar Jana, principal of Mount Mary College Chumoukedima, chaired the seminar while Th Sharatchandra Singh, Principal Immanuel College, delivered the welcome address.

Dr. N Premkumar Singh, asst. professor, dept. of Botany at Patkai Christian College, gave the keynote address and N Elone, co-ordinator IQAC of Immanuel College, moderated the programme.

Dr. Parimal Chandra Bhomick, asst prof. department of Chemistry, Immanuel College, was the rapporteur and the seminar had two technical sessions comprising five paper presentations, it added.
