DIMAPUR — On account of World Health Day (WHD) which falls on April 7, students from the NSS and Yuva Tourism Club of Immanuel College, Dimapur, undertook a cleanliness drive on Saturday.

The drive commenced at 6 am and over 20 students participated in the drive, the college stated in an update. They meticulously cleaned the college surroundings and the stretch from Imli Ghas to the college, collecting plastic waste, paper and other discarded materials.

The collected waste was segregated and disposed of responsibly through designated channels. To spread the message, students displayed a banner themed ‘My health, my right,’ which aimed to emphasise the importance of a clean environment for a healthy life.

“The active participation and dedication of the students resulted in a noticeably cleaner college and its vicinity, leaving a lasting impression on residents and promoting the adoption of clean habits for a healthier society,” it stated.
