Imlibenla Wati, on her return from South Korea after winning the 1st runners-up title at the Miss Super Talent World 2016, was accorded a warm reception on Wednesday at Dimapur Airport by various organisations.
Representing India at the seventh edition of Miss Super Talent World 2016 that was held on December 3 at Seoul, South Korea, the beauty queen bagged the 1st runner up title with Miss Peru and Miss Czech Republic winning the title.
Humbled by the rousing reception, the beauty queen dedicated her win to the Naga people while sharing that the win was not just hers but for ‘Nagaland in particular and India in general’.
Looking calm and elegant, Imlibenla conveyed ‘nothing feels special than to be home after a struggling and hectic period’. She thanked the people of Nagaland for the love and support she had been showered with since her stint at Miss Super Talent World 2016.
She modestly said that her achievement was not because she’s extraordinary but because of God’s way of choosing her, a humble servant, to tell people across the country and world that Nagas and Nagaland are no less than others.
After winning the title of Miss Nagaland in 2012, the beauty queen has been busy at various beauty pageants and with her combination of ‘beauty with brain’, Imlibenla has managed to make Nagaland and India proud.
The organisations present to receive her with her family members and friends were Changki Union, Changki Metsulari Dimapur, Central Nagaland Tribes Council, Western Chakhesang Hoho, Muslim Council Dimapur, Beauty and Aesthetics Society Nagaland (BASN), Changki Students Union, Diphupar Naga Students Union, Sumi Students Union Dimapur, Highway Sumi Students Union Dimapur, Western Sumi Students Union Dimapur and Lotha Students Union. The Dimapur DCP Zone-1 provided security for the day.
