  • DIMAPUR — Nagaland and other northeastern states will experience dry weather in the coming days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

  • While the region will remain rain-free, dense fog is expected in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during early mornings and nights from January 19 to the 21st, the IMD said on Sunday.

  • Stating that in Manipur’s Imphal region, visibility was reported at 100 metres on Sunday, while Meghalaya’s Barapani experienced visibility of 50 metres, it cautioned that similar conditions are likely to prevail in other northeastern states, including Nagaland, over the next two days.

  • The IMD has advised caution for travellers and urged drivers to use fog lights when travelling at night or early in the morning.

  • Minimum temperatures ranging between 6°C and 12°C will be prevalent in most areas with no significant changes in temperatures during the next few days, it added.
