DIMAPUR — Imchen's Custom Art School, Kohima, celebrated its first foundation day on July 13 with newly elected KMC councillor Ketousie Khamo of Ward 15 as the chief guest.
Moa Imchen, proprietor of the art school and a 3D architectural designer, reflected on the past year, noting how rewarding it had been to teach students about creativity. He also highlighted the satisfaction of both students and parents with the art school.
According to an update, Imchen explained how automobiles, architecture, fashion design, mobile and PC gaming, and animated movies are all created using software. He noted that the process begins with holding a pencil and making numerous mistakes on paper, which are then corrected with an eraser to achieve perfection.
The chief guest at the event said that nowadays everyone is so confined, with children spending too much time on mobiles and computers and not going outside to experience the world.
Khamo stated that the greatest gift parents can give their children is their valuable time. He emphasised that children should be given the opportunity to express themselves. According to him, some parents spoil their children by forcing them to pursue activities they do not want to.
He maintained that parents and elders should recognise what children are good at and nurture their creativity. This support will help children achieve their dreams and face the world and its challenges as they mature.
AG Colony chairman Neizokhotuo Belho stated in his address that everything begins small and expressed the belief that it will grow larger in the future. On behalf of all the members present, he assured full support and cooperation for any endeavour the school undertakes, as it is for the benefit of children.
The event concluded with an art competition.
