MOKOKCHUNG — Commemorating the 5th anniversary of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 under Achil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABBS), the Samagra Shiksha Mokokchung, Rashtriya Bai Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and District Hospital Mokokchung jointly conducted a mega identification and assessment-cum-certification camp for children with special needs (CWSN) at IMDH in Mokokchung town on August 14.


A total of 160 CWSN from 6 educational block resource centres (EBRC) have registered for the camp. Seven doctors and nine members from District Hospital and RBSK conducted the screening.

The children were screened for hearing impairment, visual impairment, locomotor disability and various intellectual and developmental disabilities.


Medical personnel informed that almost fifty percent of the students were detected with vision impairment, which are due to heritor and lifestyle, during the camp.
