Development Authority of Nagaland hosts awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights.

DIMAPUR — The Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC) of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME, hosted a one-day awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at the Innovation and Incubation Centre, IDAN, Kohima, on Friday.
The programme commenced with an opening and special remark from Anini Nyenga, senior consultant, IDAN, who emphasised the rapid growth and development of entrepreneurship in the state, an update stated.
Anini urged the attendees to leverage the platform for the growth and protection of their businesses.

Resource persons Zabenthung Khuvung, IPFC project associate at IDAN, elaborated on ‘Intellectual Property Rights and its components,’ and Imnasenla Jamir, IPFC legal consultant, provided valuable insights and experiences on ‘Infringement and opposition.’
The programme was attended by entrepreneurs, startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs who were provided with vital information on the availability of registration services for all types of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) facilitated by IDAN under the Ministry of MSME.
“This initiative by IPFC is part of its ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators in Nagaland, offering the necessary support to commercialise their businesses. As a state promotion agency, IDAN continues to play a crucial role in promoting impactful projects across various sectors, including education, healthcare, skill development, entrepreneurship, and community welfare,” the update stated.
