ICFAI University Nagaland signs MoU with Nexus Cipher Guard India

DIMAPUR — ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) on August 12 marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nexus Cipher Guard India (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. aimed at advancing collaboration in cyber security education, training and research.
An update from the university stated that the MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Saundarjya Borbora, vice chancellor of ICFAI University, and Pangerkumzuk Longkumer, founder of Nexus Cipher Guard India, at the university’s conference hall in presence of faculty, students and representatives from Nexus Cipher Guard India.
In their addresses, both parties underscored the vital role of industry-academia partnerships in equipping students to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.

The MoU outlined key areas of collaboration such as organising seminars, workshops and hackathons; facilitating internships, placements and exposure to real world projects; and enhancing the curriculum to align with industry needs.
Akumlong Longkumer, head of Computer Science department, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the potential for new opportunities in skill development, internships, innovation and joint initiatives.
The event concluded with a brief networking session among the participants and representatives.
