
Students of ICFAI University Nagaland contesting in 3x3
basketball competition during its annual youth festival.
- DIMAPUR — The
ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) successfully hosted an annual IUN youth
festival from March 12 to the 13th at Sovima campus in Chümoukedima district.
- An update from the university stated that the event was a
grand celebration of culture, music, dance, art and sports showcasing the
incredible talent and unity among the student community. It added that students
from all the prominent institutions in and around Nagaland participated in
various competitions during the festival.
- The events on the first day were centred on promoting
culture and tradition of the state. Events comprised of cultural display,
cultural fashion fusion and traditional songs. The main highlights of the day
were traditional games including bamboo stilt race and tops spinning.
- Modern events like mobile photography competition, pencil
sketching competition, e-games, 3X3 basketball competition were conducted as
well.
- The second day witnessed events including folktale narration
competition, poetry slam, men’s fitness competition, beat box battle, guitar
competition and cosplay.
- The festival concluded with a musical concert where the
opening act was presented by ‘The Project’ and a solo act by ‘Akok’ before a
powerful and electrifying performance by the band ‘EXI.’
