Dimapur, August 31 (EMN): The ICFAI University Nagaland observed its annual day cum foundation day, on August 31.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. C. P. Alexander, highlighted the steady and the gradual growth of the university since its inception in 2007. He also exhorted the students to be equipped for the job market. Pointing out that the current unemployment issue, he said it is not because of lack of qualification but because of unemployability of the graduates due to lack of professional skills.He also said the secret to success in life is dependent on decision, focus and willingness to work without any expectations of individual return. He concluded his speech by citing a quote of Bill Gates, “If you are born poor it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor it’s your mistake.”
The Vice-Chancellor also released the Annual Magazine 2016-2017 with the theme “Polyphonic.”
During the informal session there were rounds of talent presentations for the selection of Mr. and Miss Fresher IUN 2017.
