ICDS Longleng launches 8th Poshan Maah

DIMAPUR — The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Longleng, launched the 8th Poshan Maah 2025 on Monday at the CDPO office premises, with EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao as the special guest.

In his address, the special guest highlighted the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle for better living in the district, a DIPR report stated.

While focusing on addressing obesity, Imkongnukla emphasised on reducing excessive consumption of sugar and oil in their daily diets. She also underlined the significance of early childhood care and the need for sensitisation of men in building healthier families and communities.

The EAC thanked the Department of Social Welfare for organising the programme and acknowledged their continued support for the welfare of the mothers and children.

She further encouraged the Anganwadi workers to persist in their dedication and commitment, contributing towards the vision of a healthy and progressive district.

In his keynote address, supervisor L Shamdok Menlei  Phom encouraged and challenged the Anganwadi workers and helpers to focus on the eradication of malnutrition and success of Poshan Maah 2025.

District coordinator, Poshan Maah, S Longhong, spoke on the success of Poshan Maah 2025, and briefed on its significance and activities. The programme was chaired by DPA, Poshan Maah, Y Pauloi Phom.
