Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the administration, Rural Development, Medical, PHED and School Education departments of Chozuba sub-division conducted a two-day programme on Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and Advocacy on August 1 and 2 at Sekruzu and Chozuba town respectively.
According to a press statement issued by Nusa Thisa, Supervisor, CDPO Office, Chozuba, the two-day programme was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner and SDO (C) Chozuba at Chozuba and Sekruzu town respectively as the special guests.
BDO and BPM (NRLM Sekruzu), SDEO, MO, CHC, and CDPO from Chozuba were the resource persons of the two-day programme. The resource persons spoke on nutrition, women (SHGs), adolescent girls, education and mid-day meal scheme, health and sanitation and schemes for the development of women and child.
It further added that village council chairmen, VDBs, elders, SHGs, teachers, public leaders, adolescent girls, ANMs, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers from all the villages under Chozuba sub-division attended the two-day advocacy programme.
