ICAR-NRC Mithun observes Vigilance awareness week

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 8: ICAR-National Research Centre (NRC) on Mithun, observed Vigilance awareness week from October 31 to November 5 under the theme “Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption” at its office. Director of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Abhijit Mitra briefed the importance of Vigilance Week and also administered the pledge. He also highlighted the measures taken up by the ICAR and institute in prevention of corruption. Various competitive programmes were organized during the week long programme. The competition included, essay writing, drawing competition, extempore and slogan writing for the staff and students. A valedictory session was graced by Major Rahul Rana from 32 Assam Rifles, Dimapur as chief guest. Dr. Abhijit emphasized the need to create awareness about anti-corruption and to develop internal checks and balances to reduce corruption in the offices, while chairman also addressed the gathering. Winners of the competition were awarded with trophies and certificates. The programme was attended by students and staff of the institute.
