ICAR-KVK Peren launches Bharat VISTAAR phase-I in Jalukie, urging farmers to utilise the AI-powered unified digital system.

DIMAPUR — The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Peren, organised the launch of Bharat VISTAAR (phase-I) at the Community Hall, Veterinary Colony, Jalukie, on Tuesday.
The programme was attended by Iruga, Councillor of Ward-1, Jalukie, according to a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged the farmers to make use of the AI-powered unified digital system that gives farmers scheme information, weather, and mandi prices.

During the programme, Dr. KL Meena, Principal Scientist and Head, KVK Peren, deliberated in detail about Bharat VISTAAR phase-I and advised the farmers to make use of the facilities.
Z James Kikon, Chief Technical Officer (CTO), Soil Science, KVK Peren, encouraged the farmers to fully utilise all the scientific technologies of the KVKs in order to empower themselves with the latest technologies.
A total of 31 farmers and officials attended the programme.
Bharat VISTAAR is a new multilingual, AI-powered agricultural advisory platform launched by the Government of India to support farmers across the country. The name VISTAAR stands for Virtually Integrated System to Access Agricultural Resources.
